Ruskin’s restaurant is part of the El Vino group, a chain of respected wine bars in London’s City. It actually occupies the site of the first ever El Vino Tasting House on Mark Lane, right near Tower Hill. The area was historically known for wine and spirit merchants in the late 19th century, and the building originally housed a rum importers. A friendly but professional atmosphere prevails and Ruskin's is buzzing with City boys at lunch times. The menu features a gastropub vibe and mostly European dishes like pasta, risotto, home-made pie or rib eye steak with Portobello mushrooms and chips. If you’re in the mood for something light, try the Scottish smoked salmon or the Mediterranean sharing plate. Rushkin’s is an ideal place for corporate entertaining and functions, or just to kick back after work and sample the excellent wine list; after all, that’s what the El Vino group are best known for!
