Henry J Beans, a Chelsea institution, combines two of our favourite things: American diner style food and London’s favourite and largest beer garden. The spacious indoor area mixes bare brick and dark wood – there are high tables and bar stools to perch on, or a choice of comfy booths. It’s a chilled out local hangout with a very well-stocked bar and scrumptious food, making it perfect for an indulgent lunch or dinner, but it’s the massive heated garden with its lush greenery and covered areas that really pulls in the punters. Grab a table by the mosaic fountain or find yourself a shady corner and indulge in a nice cold beer or a bottle of wine before tucking into some good old fashioned American style food including sharing plates, sandwiches, salads, ribs, hot dogs, burgers and more. If you’d prefer a mixed drink, the cocktail list is very impressive – featuring a list of crowd pleasers and classics, as well as bartenders’ choices, champagne cocktails and shots for later on.
