I was fed meat after explaining in great detail to the waitress about the fact I could not have animal products near my food. However, apparently the chef thought it was a good idea to 'pick' my chicken out or a pre-prepared noodle dish instead of make mine from scratch (something the waitress explained to me when I sent my dish back, appalled I'd chowed down into chicken). Astonishingly, when other diners asked me what was happening and I explained to them they had put meat in my vegetarian dish, I was thrown out. I told the waitress I'd be reporting it to their head office, and she told me she couldn't tell them what had happened or she would lose her job. I raised this with Wagamama's CEO and head office complaints and they haven't even had the decency to get back to me following their 'investigation', never mind to apologise in full for this horrendous experience. I can't believe a big chain like this thinks it's okay to pick certain ingredients out of your food, but then to throw me out too when another customer wants to know what's going on, is despicable service. I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd had a full blown allergy to an ingredient - I told them I was sensitive to what I'd asked them to ensure hadn't touched my food and clearly that wasn't good enough for them to take caution in the kitchen.
