Celebrity favourite Christian Louboutin has been making truly exquisite footwear since 1992, and his shiny red-lacquered soles on his sought-after stilettos (which often have heels of over four inches) have become something of trademark. He’s more recently branched out into making equally covetable bags and creates catwalk shoes for everyone from Rodarte to Richard Nicoll. His London boutique brings a little drop of Paris to the big smoke and stocks key looks from his sleek and sexy collections, including sky-high platforms, Ms Turner-inspired ankle boots, stylish wedges and chic pumps. Prices (from £300) aren’t for the faint-hearted, but then, perfection doesn’t come cheap. There are plans afoot to stock menswear in this store from winter 2010.
