Whether you're shopping for a special gift or a stocking filler, London's many Christmas markets are sure to please. We'll keep you updated with all London Christmas market information for winter 2014 as soon as it's announced.
Christmas markets in central London
The Barbican hosts 10 days of seasonal shopping, with 35 independent designers, makers and artisans setting up shop in the foyers. With vintage and designer clothes, arts and crafts, jewellery, books and toys all available, it’s a great option for cultural Christmas shopping. As is requisite for a festive market, there’ll be plenty of mulled wine and mince pies, too.
More than 70 pretty wooden chalets have appeared alongside the Tate Modern for the Christmas period adding some extra festive cheer (and extra shopping opportunities) to the Bankside area. Browse handmade wooden toys, unique jewellery, intricate decorations and plenty more, then tuck into bratwurst, crêpes, roasted nuts or a warming cup of glühwein.
Hyde Park gets glammed up once again with its annual Christmassy additions. The park will be kitted out with rides and attractions, including a Giant Observation Wheel and two circuses, plus the famous ice rink. The market sells decorative sweets and festive treats as well as traditional German crafts and lashings of glühwein.
Set in the courtyard directly behind the Royal Festival Hall, the Real Food Market serves up its regular selection of sustainably and ethically produced fine foods but with extra added seasonal goodies for this five-day Christmas version. Pick up gifts such as charcuterie, cheese, traditional sweets and craft beer to wrap up for your hungriest family members, and tuck into ready-to-eat treats such as mulled wine and mince pies while you shop.
You’ll find plenty more than baubles and gingerbread to tempt you in the 50 wooden chalets that will make up the Southbank Centre Christmas Market this year; sheepskin rugs, local mead, door wreaths and even lobster mac ‘n’ cheese will all be among the goodies on sale along Queen’s Walk. The market is just one part of the Southbank Centre Winter Festival, and there will be special editions of the Real Food Market on various weekends in the run up to Christmas, too.

I love London in the Winter and especially around Christmas. The only time of year it ever felt normal to exist in London was when it is cold and full of colourful lights.
Hi there is an error in the first of your listings. The nearest Tube Station to Kew Gardens is Kew Gardens and not Richmond as stated.
There is so much to choose from the above list that I think I will start with the food at the Real Food Christmas market.
This guide is brilliant, enables us to make the most of our time in London, planning our day in advance and pick the markets that have products that interest us. Tube details are also very helpful..... Can't wait to visit.
This is an extremely useful guide to Christmas markets across London. Just looking at the photos makes you want to start Christmas shopping.
This really isn't a 'guide' to london christmas markets is it? or is the rest of my page not loading?
