  • I had a good experience too and am sure to be back whenever I pass through London. A really nice selection of menswear and great prices. I got a lovely Nicole Farhi purple sweater the last time I was through.

  • I too am amazed at the negative comments as I found the staff to be helpful, polite and really friendly. Lovely shop, managed to bag myself three designer items for a great price. Will definitely recommend!!

  • I have been in before an also found the woman working in there very rude and unpleasant. She was watching my friend and I like we were going to steal something the entire time and when I suggested trying something on to my friend I saw her roll her eyes. In conclusion, don't bother. Go to Oxfam or a vintage store and get cheaper clothes and a more welcome reception.

  • Was walking past and saw this gorgeous little shop and just had to stop to look inside. I walked in and the lady working there was putting some clothes out on the rails, she turned her head as she heard me come in, gave me a blank look, then had her back to me the whole time. (Which is fine by me, I don't expect to be welcomed into a shop particularly as she was busy). I was the only one there but was more than happy to browse peacefully. An item took my fancy so I asked her something about it and she replied so rudely I walked straight out. I think I've had better customer service in Argos.

  • Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative comments about the management. I saw a bag by my favourite designer in the window, went in and asked to see it. I was told that "the bag is 290£ anyway" - so not worth making the effort to show it to me? I had to show the manager the bag I was wearing, by the same designer, to have the privilege to be served. Of course, the bag had heavy pen marks on the leather. In the meantime, I had to listen to a rant about Somali women, who "cover the items with their skirt and steal them". exceptionally bad customer service + xenophobia: it's a no-no for me.

  • I'm amazed at the comments about staff, they've always been fantastic on a first name basis. Picked up a Marc Jacobs jacket for £150, this season stock that would retail at £425! You may need a dry clean, but that's the charm of such places.

  • Nice shop I've picked up a few bargains, obviously it depends on your tastes if you're going to like the clothes the've got in but they're good quality. The staff have always been really friendly to me so I'm not sure where the comments about them being rude are coming from.

  • The shop is in a lovely part of town but most of the clothes are old and dated, just an "upmarket", overpriced charity shop. I agree with the previous reviewer that management at DFL is incredibly rude, nasty and dishonest to boot and haven't got a clue about how to treat customers. Avoid at all costs.

  • Good selection of clothes but awful management, Felt uncomfortable each time I have been. I have tried to sell stuff through the, and they are terrible, handle your stuff as if it were their property, threaten to give it out if you don't collect it. The email mentioned " a charity clearout...." in a very non-delicate manner, and since they don't acknowledge the reception of stuff, they can actually give it out. Would recommend to boycott the store as the management is too rude to deserve any business
