    Strip Tease exhibition
If the plethora of comic-strip remakes hitting the cinema screens (including July’s ‘Superman Returns’) isn’t enough, check out the ‘Strip Tease’ exhibition at the Hope Gallery. Its founder, conceptual artist Georgina Hope, graduated from Leeds with an MA in fine art and has since exhibited and curated internationally. This exhibition consists of a series of comic strips by Hope which deal not, as you might expect, with Dita Von Teese-style women taking their clothes off but with issues of love and romance in an age when biology is merging with technological innovation. Unlike the box-office hits, this has no happy Hollywood ending, we fear. Comic strips are available to buy from £35 for a single print.
    Hope Gallery, 162 Blackstock Rd, N5 (020 7690 0058 / www.hopegallery.co.uk / www.georginahope.co.uk) Arsenal tube or Finsbury Park tube/rail. Exhibition Tue June 27-Sat July 1. Open 12noon-5pm and by appointment.
