  • The Knitting & Stitching Show
    This is one of the leading textile and needlecraft shows in the UK and has a range of activities for all ages. Perfect if you’re enthralled by the ins and outs of stitching, quilting and knitting: there are more than 350 suppliers trading their wares and more than 200 different workshops to participate in. These range from the large-scale Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef to the works of textile artist Jessie Chorley and jewellery designer Buddug Humphreys which takes place
    in a van.

    This is a great opportunity for those passionate about travelling on two wheels to get an inside look at all the upcoming trends. With a mountain bike test track you’ll get the chance to try out the wide range of cycles before you buy and there’s the added excitement of being joined by Team GB’s Olympic gold medal-winner Nicole Cooke on Sunday as she participates in a Q&A to promote her new book ‘Cycle for Life’.

    Anita’s Vintage Fashion Fair
    This quaint fair takes place in a Grade II-listed English Heritage building and is a superb location to pick up authentic vintage clothing. Items include 1920s silk dresses, 1940s summer tea dresses and 1950s cashmere cardigans. Expect to see stylists who flock to their rails searching through the plethora of sartorial gems such as crocodile handbags which start at £60 or a beaded cape for £130.

    Adding a canine theme to this week’s Cabbages & Frocks market, Dog Day Afternoon allows you to freely parade your pooch around as if it were at Crufts and pick up some of the finest canine couture while you’re at it. Goodies for sale include an Ed & Ted fur rug (£34.95) and blue denim bed (£54.95), and Holly & Lil’s vintage Levi’s denim collars, from £60. Don’t miss the best-dressed dog competition, and visit the doggy bakery packed full of organic treats.
