Manolo Blahnik-favoured shoe designer Georgina Goodman opens a sleek split-level boutique on Bond Street

It’s six years since former fashion stylist Georgina Goodman set up her own shoe label after learning the craft at Cordwainers and the Royal College of Art. Now the 42-year-old shoe designer, twice a British Fashion Awards Accessory Designer nominee, has truly come of age by opening a swanky two-floor boutique on Bond Street. Proudly the youngest brand on the street, the small but perfectly formed shop will showcase Goodman’s sculptural, lovingly made high heels and flat shoes, long admired by shoe king Manolo Blahnik. Her Shepherd Street site, formerly a store, will remain the hub of operations, housing her bespoke design workshop and those unmissable biannual sample sales (keep an eye on ‘sales and events’ for future dates).
Georgina Goodman, 44 Old Bond Street, W1 (020 7409 2959/www.georginagoodman.com) Green Park tube. Open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Thur until 7pm.
