Saturday queues are almost inevitable at this small vacuum for pocket money. Everything from chocolate gooseberries to sweetheart candies is prettily displayed in plastic beakers, cellophane bags, glass jars, illustrated boxes, porcelain bowls and cake tins. Relive sweet childhood memories by indulging in a bag of sherbert Flying Saucers, gobstoppers or rhubarb and custard ‘rations’, as well as Double Dips, sugar mice, Curly Wurlys, Love Hearts and lots more. Posher chocolates are also available, including the delicious-sounding lavender and geranium truffles. Gift possibilities include retro gumball machines, and the refills for them. Ice-cream is available in the warmer months. There is a second branch in Covent Garden.
