Time Out says

Get stitched up at House of Weardowney, a mecca to all things woolly. Former models Amy Wear and Gail Downey – one-time knitwear designer for John Galliano – launched their label in 2004, and it’s helped put handcrafted knit couture on runways and in wardrobes all over. As well as supplying knitting needles, patterns and yarns, its ‘getUp boutique’ reveals the brand’s flirty designer knitwear featuring vintage-inspired frocks (their Racerback dress is £137), pashminas and hotpants, and, for men, oversized stripy wool boxers. Look out for the ever-expanding collection of modern and antique books on the craft. The shop also now stocks collections from other designers, including Anthony Price, Boudicca, Acne, Richard Sorger, as well as a select range of vintage items.
