London is about to get a whole lot more glamorous as London Fashion Week hits town. The world's fashion press, buying teams and bloggers are jetting in this September for the Spring/Summer 2013 shows, so look out for the big white British Fashion Council coaches and customised cabs blocking the streets outside popular show venues like Somerset House and The Royal Academy. If you're a sucker for street style then you'll be keen to watch the hoards of fashionistas in their finery tottering in and out of these vehicles – and expect to see fashion week regulars Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour and Emmanuelle Alt among them. If you're part of the pack plan your diary around big hitters including the return of Preen and Philip Treacy as well as the devoted like Matthew Willamson and Burberry Prorsum. For those whose invites are lost in the post, there is a stack of fashiony events for style civilians taking place throughout London, from a book signing at Harrods with legendary style snapper The Sartorialist, to a wacky Sister by Sibling afternoon tea at the W Hotel, and a vintage fashion show in the Bloomsbury Ballroom.
