England’s oldest chocolatier – the brand has been around for more than a century – is up-to-the-minute when it comes to promoting the health advantages of chocolate. Prestat’s Choxi+ bars (dark, milk, ginger, orange, mint) are processed gently to maximise antioxidant content – the claim is that they contain two to three times more of these nutrients than standard milk or dark chocolate. This bijou boutique, appropriately located in the genteel Princes Arcade, also offers unusual and traditional chocolates in elegant, brightly coloured packaging, making them lovely gift options. Aside from the straight up options, there are boxes of dark chocolate-covered apricots, indulgent champagne truffles, hot chocolate flakes and a range of chocolate wafers (try the Earl Grey ones). All Prestat’s chocolates are manufactured in the UK from top-quality ingredients. There is a Prestat concession within Harrods.
