The staff who run the site need to be more friendly, they can be very rude and sharp, the w\y i have heard them speak to people is totally unacceptable. They need to be welcoming and friendly brush up on they social skills otherwise they will see there business slide down, noting is indispensable and it can be here today gone tomorrow . Be nice to your customers they are the ones who are keeping this carboot in business
WARNING!!!! THIS CAR BOOT HAS CROOKS AND CON ARTISTS SELLING HERE!
WHEN I WENT TO THIS CAR BOOT TODAY I SAW A MIDDLE EASTERN WOMAN ( TOUZANI OUAFA - CAR REG. V141TNH) SELLING SOME MAKE UP ON HER STALL WITH OTHER THINGS. I BOUGHT 3 ITEMS FOR £150 HARDLY USED CORRES MAKE UP AND GAVE HER £20 WHICH SHE KNEW AND SMILED. SHE THEN TURNED AWAY TO CONFUSE ME AND PRETENDED THAT I GAVE HER £10 ONLY? SHE THEN GAVE ME £8.50 ONLY INSTEAD OF £18.50? WHEN I CONFRONTED HER SHE DENIED IT AND SAID NO, I GAVE HER £10. ANOTHER WORKER MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS THE ONE IN THE WRONG LYING, WHEN I CLEARLY WASN'T!...(I THINK SHE ONLY WANTED THE £10 CAR BOOT PARKING MONEY OFF THE WOMAN AND THAT'S WHY SHE TOOK HER SIDE KNOWING FULL WELL I WAS RIGHT AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE MY MONEY BACK!) SO THIS WOMAN GOT AWAY WITH STEALING MY MONEY AND WHEN I CALLED THE POLICE THEY DID NOTHING AND THE OTHER WOMEN WORKING THERE SAID I SHOULD LEAVE WHEN I WAS THE VICTIM! I'M DISGUSTED HOW I'VE BEEN TREATED AND THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH STEALING CUSTOMERS MONEY! THIS CAR BOOT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!
I went to this Bootsale / jumble sale this morning, full of hope that I would find some bargains after reading the timeout review. What a pile of shite!!! People were selling stuff that frankly I would have thrown in the bin. If you are on the lookout for worn out dirty 5 year old trainers or skanky stained Tshirts, then this is the Bootsale for you.
Not brilliant, but a genuine car boot with real people selling real stuff. Mind, someone needs to point out to large number of stalls selling all manner of watches that don't work, the fact that it can cost up to £25.00 to get a watch battery fitted - and only if its possible to do so. Therefore, to start asking £50.00 for a non working watch is a bit of a liberty.
Forget to say now back at the school playground. If you go selling, it gets full quick so you have to queue up and the sale is held Saturdays. I travel from Windsor to go there. Also just read comments below and there are lots of private sellers and some dealers
a real variety of items for sale, antiques, fancy bric a brac, very international and a chance to buy those things you didn't buy from abroad. Some good clothing bargains, good books, worth travelling across London for
Got to disagree. Most of the stuff here is total junk, or dirty old used shoes and clothes. More traders than genuine car boot individuals. Not the kind of place to find cool little treasures. Last time I went, literally nothing caught my eye in the whole place!
There is a small error here because the St Augustine's school sale in has building work going on and it has temporarily removed slightly further west along Carlton Vale to the Kilburn Park school at Malvern Road, London NW6 5RG (find it on Google maps). It's brilliant, I was there on Saturday. I try and go every week. Full of bargains!
