Find the best independent shops in Stoke Newington

Stoke Newington's indie credentials extends to the many independent shops in the area. Hidden in the basement of a secondhand record store, Little Pad has carefully selected vintage clothes and accessories. If you need your cello restrung or your heirloom lute restored, Bridgewood and Neitzert deal in all things stringed. Mums and mums-to-be will love Born, which stocks organic and fairtrade pregancy and baby supplies.

Premiercars ( Great alternative to the overpriced Addison Lee. I use their apps regular to book minicabs, and the service/price is very good.

The Cobbled Yard in Bouverie Road, just behind the Daniel Defoe pub, has an amazing and varied stock of affordable vintage furniture with new stock arriving every week. Well worth regular visits if you're local and worth making a special trip for if you like further afield as not all of their stock manages to get on to their website.
