Winner of a number of ethical footwear awards over the past few years, Terra Plana has set its sights on original, fashionable yet ecologically sound shoes made from unusual materials, and includes several models that are completely free from animal products and materials. The collections are constructed using traditional artisan methods and includes ankle boots, cowboy boots and mid-heeled shoes made from recycled Saami quilts. The comfortable Work Again Escape shoes are made from 99 per cent recycled materials. And trendy bohemians will go especially mad for the Vivo Barefoot range with their ultra-thin, puncture-resistant soles that mimic a barefoot stroll; recent models from this range include the Evo running shoe and Aquas designs.
