The 5 O'Clock Tea Club

0 Love It
If the Jubilee footfall on Oxford Street leaves you desperate for a civilised sit down, John Lewis’s Oxford Street store may have the solution. Its new 5 O’Clock Tea Club offers a little haven of tranquility from 5-6.30pm every day, when afternoon tea will be served on pretty crockery together with the Queen’s favourite tipple, Dubonnet. It sounds to us like a very lovely way to avoid fighting for pavement space or battling to get on the Tube. Also occuring at John Lewis Stratford City and Peter Jones in Sloane Square.

It sounds like a fantastic idea. All that is needed is some light entertainment as you enjoy afternoon tea and better signs so that visitors can find it.

Don't waste your time here. I went yesterday, had to ask 5 people where it was. Even in the brasserie they didn't know if it was still on. Go somewhere else!
