Wawa sells bright and bold made-to-order sofas designed and handmade by Richard Ward, whose love of curves, lines and colour is obvious in his work (think contemporary takes on old classics). Each sofa is unique and upholstered with great attention to detail using hand-tied springs. Prices start at around £680 for an armchair, rising to around £2,000 for a chaise longue; choose your fabric from the large collection that takes in ranges by the Designers Guild, Andrew Martin and Lelieve, while Lucy Wassell, who works in the same studio, creates textiles to commission. The shop also stocks a gorgeous selection of plates and trays, as well as mirrors, lamps and lampshades, tableware and clocks. Head to the showroom on a Sunday to have a mooch around the flower market afterwards.
