Established 27 years ago, Pak's is an Aladdin's cave of African and Afro-Caribbean hair and beauty products, with many exclusive and hard-to-find ranges. The flagship is a shop of two halves; the Wig Centre, on the left, offers an extensive array of wigs, weaves and extensions, both synthetic and human, alongside fake ponytails and hair pieces. Colours range from natural blond to black as well as kaleidoscopic blues, reds and pinks. The right-hand side Hair Centre is stocked to the rafters with hair and beauty products. Alongside names like Bedhead and Aveda are excellent moisturising haircare ranges Soft n' Free and Soft & Beautiful and various relaxers. Hair serums, oils, shines and polishers are a particular strength. Men are also catered for with shaving oils, aftershaves and ingrowing hair treatments. The store also has a wide range of combs, brushes, straightening irons and rollers. Branches throughout the city.
