If you think only geeks wear glasses, you should get your eyes tested - or pop into Kirk Originals flagship store. With sets of googly eyes that stare out from the windows, it's an unmissable addition to Conduit Street's hip hub of Brit brands. Inside it's designed to seem as though you're inside a kalaidoscope, and the aim of the shop, says MD Jason Kirk, is 'to make going to the optician's fun.'
The long gallery space houses the complete Kirk Originals collections, from the sparkly Saturn numbers (you can see why Elton John is a fan), to the more recent Kinetic range.
There's an eye examination and prescription service in the basement, sunglasses and an edit of other eyewear brands that are worth failing an eye test for.
