Time Out says

If you crave pampering in plush surroundings, head to St Pancras Spa. You’ll find it in the basement of the beautifully renovated St Pancras Renaissance hotel, in what were formally the hotel’s subterranean kitchens. You can’t help but relax on entering the cocooning space, which feels a million miles from the hubbub of King’s Cross above – even the ever so faint tremors of underground trains rolling past somewhere in the distance add a pleasant womblike atmosphere to the place.

The spa, which has six luxurious treatment rooms – including a couples' suite – is partnered with natural body and skincare heroes Aromatherapy Associates. You’ll find, therefore, a focus on a truly holistic treatment experience here, as well as high quality, beautifully fragrant products. There’s an impressive selection of therapies to pick from – from Ko Bi Do facials, which incorporate ancient Japanese massage techniques (from £105), to bespoke ‘Journeys’, which bring together massage with the likes of hand and foot treatments and scrubs (from £155). If you’re looking to really unwind, the Aromatherapy Associates Sublime Massage (from £105) is highly recommended – our therapist’s healing hands whisked us to somewhere approaching nirvana in a mere 60 minutes.

Booking a treatment of an hour or longer grants you access to the spa’s stunning swimming pool, which is bedecked in Victorian tiles and bordered by a eucalyptus steam room and sauna. You’ll also find a peacock-themed relaxation room to kick back in, which has pots of herbal tea on standby and healthy snacks for nibbling. No detail has been overlooked at this place – if you’re anything like us, you might be tempted to move in.
