Time Out says

The Basketball Arena will accommodate 12,000 spectators, making it the Olympic Park’s third-largest venue, and is going to be one of the busiest parts of the Park, with events daily throughout the Games, but the Basketball Arena is only temporary. In fact, it’s one of the largest impermanent structures built for any Games. Erected in only three months, it is covered with a stretched white material that will be used for light projections during London 2012, in a style perhaps reminiscent of the Beijing 2008 Water Cube.

Location: In the north-east of the Park, between the Velodrome and the Athletes’ Village, on the North-East Concourse
