Time Out says

As a particularly roused BoJo declared in 2008, ping pong – err, wiff-waff – is an English game. Spare a thought for the dear old Blighty, then, as you grab a paddle at one of 100-ish free outdoor tables popping up across London during the fourth annual Ping!, on from now until the end of August.

Participating spots stretch from Ealing to Greenwich, but tend to concentrate more centrally: Leicester Square, Soho Square, Regent’s Park, St Pancras Station, the Barbican and Spitalfields Market all house tables, along with plenty of less iconic locations. Picnics, street parties, competitions and tournaments round out the fun.
