Is there a Tottenham fan around who would plausibly claim to relish seeing their team playing at the Emirates just now? Admittedly, in losing to Fulham and Hull, Arsenal have shown they are not invincible; but in losing to, well, pretty much everyone they've played so far this season, Spurs have been simply woeful. Having remarkably failed to convince Juande Ramos he should be a first-choice pick in midfield, ex-Gunner David Bentley will have much to prove to both sets of fans. Perhaps the only glimmer of hope for his new team is that, strangely, they have reserved many of their finest performances and results under Ramos for the top teams. Last year they held up Manchester United in the league and secured their first win against the Gunners since 1999; even this year Spurs gained one of their very few points with a solid performance at Chelsea. Nevertheless, holding out for a dour draw is the best they can hope for. Fabregas and Adebayor surely can't wait. Rob Hastings
