The now familiar 'Welcome to hell' banners were out in force when Arsenal visited Istanbul, but after Beelzebub decided to take the evening off the Gunners have little to concern them for the rest of their Champions League group matches. Their 5-2 victory left the team needing just one win from three games to qualify for the knockout rounds. But the evening will also be remembered for the injury-time goal that will doubtlessly lead many hacks unaware of the perils of being included in Private Eye's 'Neophiles' column into labelling Aaron Ramsey 'The new Theo Walcott'. The 17-year-old's first strike for the club has heightened fan fervour for Wenger's latest starlet, and they will hoping for enough of a first-half lead to give Ramsey another pressure-free cameo. However, Luis Aragones' Fenerbahce side, including the finest Turkish footballer ever to hail from Leytonstone, Colin Kazim-Richards, will be determined to take home some consolation delight from their night in north London.
