Sean O'Driscoll's Doncaster squad will be in buoyant mood after thrashing Southend 5-1 in their play-off semi-final. They'll also have the support of most neutrals since Leeds have lost any goodwill by their constant refusal to accept this season's 15-point deduction. Not only did this move enable them to keep the proceeds from selling David Healy and spend more on permanent and loan players than any other side in the division (a decisive goal in the semi against Carlisle was netted by Dougie Freedman, on loan from Crystal Palace), it has been underscored by the Elland Roaders printing a league table in their matchday programmes showing their points tally without the sanction – guaranteed to wind up every opposing fan. Gary McAllister is a decent man and a tidy manager but much about his club still carries an unpleasant odour. Andrew Shields

Well done Andrew - I love journalism of this nature. It is lazy at best, but Leeds fans the world over love to read it and laugh at it! Go and cover the Flower Show and make yourself useful!
They'll also have the support of most neutrals ..... how sad is this comment. Best estimate by S Yorks & W Yorks OB are 65,000 Leeds at Wembly, the largest single support since 1972, oh and that was Leeds. Fans across the Country still sing "We all love Leeds". sad journalism sad sad sad.
What a poor piece of journalism. Check your facts before writing this drivel. Even got the scorer wrong against Carlise it was Howson not Freeman - oh dear.
Good to see that well informed, unbiased reporting lives on in this piece on Leeds. The 15 point deduction wasn't actually for going into administration Andrew, that was the 10 point deduction from *last* season if you recall. Oh, and don't you think the fact that Leeds have spent more on players and loans than anyone else might have something more to do with the fact that we have by far and away the biggest crowds in the division? - In fact, the highest crowds in this division for *30 years*. But you're right about Dougie, what a signing!
Obviously, you're entitled to whatever opinion of Leeds you like, but the winner against Carlisle was actually scored by Jonathan Howson, a Leeds-born 19-year-old player who came through our youth system. Don't you go changin' ;-)
