The place Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund, Germany
    The date January 28 2007
The game Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich. With their closest rivals from Cologne relegated, this is the game that the famously bilious Borussia Dortmund supporters will be salivating over this season. The Dortmund fans, clad in lurid yellow and black, stand (no all-seater rules in Germany) on the largest football terrace in Europe where an incredible 25,000 can gather behind the goal. Try to spot the most garish-looking kutte while you’re there: hilariously ugly body-warmer-type jackets that German men of a certain age wear to the game, covered with patches and the subject of a banning campaign by German wives. The food at German football matches is a treat too, with numerous stands outside the ground selling weinerwurst (beef and pork sausage with garlic and plenty of mustard).

    Before the game
The Hövels Hausbrauerei brewery (www.hoevels-hausbrauerei.de) offers tours, tasting sessions and the traditional brewer’s meal, pfefferpotthast – a giant stew of pepper steak and onions. Tasting tour and meal costs £25.
Tickets Borussia Dortmund (www.bvb.de) tickets are a steal at £9 to stand and £12 to sit.
    What to chant
‘Und schon wieder Deutscher Meister BVB.’
After the game Fans pour into the Alter Markt area of town after the game for its cluster of bars and clubs, the best of which is the Nightrooms, a 2,000-capacity club with five separate areas and a licence until 5am on weekends.
Where to stay The Steigenberger (www.dortmund.steigenberger.de) has an unusual 1930s theme, is opposite the stadium and has doubles from £68.
Getting there EasyJet (www.easyjet.com) flies three times a day from Luton to Dortmund from £15.99 one way.

Why go to Estadio da Luz when you can go to the most beautiful stadium of Portugal... Estadio Jose de Alvalade? For some reason it was preferred to host of UEFA CUP FINAL 2005/06! Anyway if you go to benfica’s home, make sure you support SPORTING singing “So eu sei porque nao fico em casa” (Only I know why I didn’t stay at home)… if you do so you’ll have a big chance of picking a stunning girl up as they’re all SPOTING fans and usually go to the stadiums and take part in the game! SPORTING ALLEZ... RUMO A VITORIA SEMPRE!
