Feeling inspired to get on your bike? Addiscombe CC work hard to make cycling an activity for everyone with guided rides for all standards, including beginners, each Saturday. Plus an obligatory stop for tea and cake.

‘I love my bike because…’
After watching the race, bring your bike to the Design Museum and be filmed talking about it. At 3.30pm, to coincide with FIXED, a display of ‘fixed wheel’ bikes, curator Ben Wilson shares his passion for two-wheeled design (tickets £10).

London Cycling Campaign at the Tour
Thirty feeder rides from all round the capital will be converging on Hyde Park, where the LCC has an exclusive viewing area for Saturday’s prologue. The LCC will also be in the People’s Village to the north of the route near Park Lane, where they’ll be giving out information about cycling in the capital and hosting a display of adapted bikes and Velorution’s cycle fashion show. ‘On your bike’
Cardinal Place in Victoria is hosting a fortnight of cycling activities. On weekdays from 11am-7pm, you can test your speed and time on chopper, racer and mountain bike simulators, compete in a virtual Tour de France with a bike as prize for whoever clocks up the most miles, and receive road safety tuition. At the weekends there’s also a kids’ bike track on the roof garden and Bikeability training sessions.
