Cheap and last minute theatre tickets in London

Brilliant discount theatre tickets and how to get them

Fringe theatre ticket offers

London's fringe theatre scene is vibrant but obviously production values are far lower than in the bigger theatres and quality varies.

This means that tickets are very cheap: expect to pay an average of £12, with concessions available at every venue. Large ensemble productions will occasionally charge more then £15 a ticket.

See our guide to the capital's best fringe venues to find out more. In addition the the following venues have ongoing offers:

Finborough Theatre

Tickets increase in price week on week. Mid-run, you're looking at about £15 regular/ £11 concessions; for the final week £18/ £15 concessions. It's worth noting that the Finborough is probably the best and most consistent fringe venue in London.

Southwark Playhouse

Another of London's enterprising subterranean venues, Southwark Playhouse has established itself as the go-to place for exciting, inventive theatre. It has ‘airline style’ pricing, wherein the further in advance you book, the cheaper it is: most shows cost as little as £8 a ticket if you book in good time.

  • Time Out says "The government’s free tickets scheme for 15- to 26-year-olds launched on February 16 and free tickets are up for grabs at several London theatres." www.anightlessordinary.org.uk says "Any person aged 25 or below, i.e. under (and not including) 26, can obtain tickets." Does this scheme include 26 year olds?
