It is very American and I really enjoyed it. Much funnier than I had expected. Tamsin Greig is as good as the critics have said, but she has the best lines - I liked the knowing enagegment with the audience, which when I saw it midweek was looked full and was having a very good time, lots of laughter! But rest of cast also good, especially Harry Lloyd. Message not especially new, but it was a great midweek winter warmer - definitely recommend it.

Entirely disagree. We saw it last week and had a great night: a tight cast delivering good performances and some real belly-laugh lines. Tamsin Greig was supposed to be annoying. Job done exceedingly well on all scores. And don't confuse glamour with superficiality: how can exposing the homophobic hypocrisy of Hollywood (and beyond) be considered superficial. A young, up beat breath of fresh air in the West End.
"Hilarious" no "superficial" yes. Broadway, yes, London, no. I love Tamsin Greig, but not in this one. The character she plays is truly annoying. Superficial, yes. Even with a 50% discount, I wouldn't bother. Last night was quite enough, thank you.
