This comedy was penned by the late Clive Exton, the celebrated writer behind such screen classics as 'Jeeves and Wooster', in 2005, two years before his death. But it has never been performed, meaning this production, overseen by the experienced actor-director Harry Burton, is the world premiere. Lee Evans stars as Algie Packer, an Essex gangster preparing to leave jail and collect his booty; Sheila Hancock is his indomitable mother Emmie, presiding over her highly dysfunctional family with an iron fist. Keeley Hawes, Karl Johnson and Montserrat Lombard complete the cast.
