Blow Out!

I didn't really enjoy the play - problem, I think, was in the writing - the dialogue seemed unbelievable and at times the characters were just plain risible. Supposed to be a farce of a dinner party - it was all rather tame at times, with hard to sell gags and stereotypes galore - but again I think it was the writing that done it! That said the the entire cast were extremely capable and the play was well acted. Must say a word about the venue - an excellent location to house any new play.

A real treat, we stumbled across this by chance (having been in the are for a drink.) We knew the theatre but only from seeing a friend perform there a while ago. We walked past while this show was finishing the opening night and everyone was talking so enthusiatically we decieded to take a punt and go back to see it another night. It was genuinely fun and erntertaining, and I would not be at all suprised if some of these people can really go places if they can put together a production like this. Highly recommended.
