After a lengthy run on the West End, Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran's shamelessly feelgood rock'n'roll nostalgia musical finally closed this summer…and it's back again already, plugging a gap in Wyndham's schedules. The term 'zombie show' gets applied to these low risk, low cost musicals that never really die, and it is mildly dispiriting to note that 'Dreamboats and Petticoats's return coincides with the release of the sixth compilation album of the same name. The kicker, though, is that it's tremendous good fun, and with a more permanent exit presumably now on the cards this could genuinely be your last chance to catch this good natured party.
