'Faithless Bitches' is a smutty, woefully scripted farce which the accompanying literature suggests was three years in the devising and quite extravagantly thought through. Or maybe that's me being soft: two male writers ñ David Turpin and director/producer Harold Finley ñ purporting to address the state of twenty-first century feminism via a soft porn industry romp is a prospect with a touch of farce itself. Monique Masters and Pamela Fairchild are two ageing softcore starlets, their bitter rivalry latterly exacerbated after Monique poached the lead role in mainstream movie 'Faithless Bitches' from Pamela.
The authors' intent was apparently to create two strong older female characters, unfairly forced to scrap for recognition in a world that should owe them. Presumably Turpin and Finley deemed the seamier end of Hollywood a fine allegory for the female experience as a whole. In infinitely subtler hands that might be the case, but as 'Faithless Bitches' degenerated into a mess of atrocious gags and grindingly unsympathetic characters, I found myself longing for more sophisticated feminist fare. Like, say, 'Confessions of a Window Cleaner'.

What a dissapointment to have the director(male) read the main actress role. Heard he is planning on doing this for next two weeks! I think this to be a big mistake, either get the original actress on or get a new one. What a way to destroy a good play otherwise. The rest of the cast were just fantastic, it must be hard to perform without main character on stage....
An inventive and hilarious take on the cutthroat world of movie making. The actors are well cast with fine performances from all and the 'Movie Stars' appropriately easy on the eye. From well-timed comedy scenes to the feminist producer who's hilarious without even trying, I urge anyone with a love of good theatre to see this before it closes.
Ecellent night out very very funny well worth seeing
Great performances by all, wickedly funny. Makes for a great night out
Trashy, cheap and immensely funny. There's some brilliantly cutting dialog, and the performers seemed made for their roles. Overall it completely outclasses the venue it's showing in.
