Written and directed by Jamie King, Cirque Du Soleil's oddly named extravaganza 'Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour' is a celebration of the life, works and lavish world tours of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The spectacular show is apparently set in a fantastical realm, 'where we discover Michael's inspirational Giving Tree - the wellspring of his creativity'. Which sounds pretty terrifying, frankly, but it's not like anybody goes to see a Cirque Du Soleil shows for the plot and certainly the trailer for 'The Immortal' is pretty mind-blowing stuff, assuming retina-searingly OTT dance set pieces are your thing (and as an MJ fan they really ought to be). The music should be pretty good, too.
