Hampstead Theatre's unerring untalent for picking new plays continues with this turkey about the activities of neutral Ireland during World War Two. Ian Kennedy Martin's script presents a string of pat questions and stock characters, including a supposedly sympathetic whoring gambler and an addicted-to-'duty' SS officer. Only one scene, in which Isla Carter's maid strips for the SS officer, is – brutally – compelling.
