I recently found an amazing drumming and dancing workshop in Brixton. It is run by a group called Frititi (which is Ga - a Ghanaian language - for 'ancient').
They run workshops with live drumming at the Brixton Recreation Centre. Last time I went it was every Tuesday from 8 'till 10. There are more details at frititi.com.
Very highly recommended.
