[title]
A tepid West End success when it premiered back in 2013, Tim Rice’s stage adaptation of ‘From Here to Eternity’ was notable for explicitly being based on James Jones’s 1951 novel about Hawaii-based GIs in the run-up to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. It was, therefore, a grittier affair than the 1953 movie, and if some of that edge was probably lost in a shiny West End production starring Darius Campbell, it certainly feels like there’s an opportunity here in this smaller revival from Brett Smock.
