Smashed by Gandini Juggling
‘This piece is a journey involving 100 apples and some vintage crockery. The photo is a freeze frame of an important part of the show which is on the borderline of several artforms… performance art dipped in choreographed juggling. It also holds a trace of Pina Bausch to whom the show is a tribute. The show was meant to be a one off week-long commission but has been performed 30 times so far and has many bookings into next year… We wanted the show to have multiple narratives: I like the fact that it seems both serious and self mocking… it will hopefully invite people into our world.’
