  • Highly entertaining, it told the story simply and effectively. The splendid and enthusiastic acting by all of the cast was enhanced by the musical composition, which without being overpowering, captured the mood of the period. There were also some lighter moments which helped the play along. On the whole the production was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole audience of young and old.

  • An imaginative, fast moving production that had children and adults spell bound. Only criticism is the pantomimic use of men to play a couple of women.

  • Awful music, loud, repetitious and empty. The twins who play prince and pauper can sing, the others can't. The Unicorn really need to get someone musical involved, or else do a spoken play. The story is presented in very small fragments, so you never quite get involved with the characters. The children in the audience seemed mostly bored, except during one scene of spirited name-calling, which was fortunately not 'sung'.
