Members of Time Out Black can enjoy exclusive access to 195 Piccadilly, the home of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts on Tuesday December 13.

Join us for breakfast and a private view of Bafta’s latest exhibition, ‘The Director’s Cut: Bafta Photography 2006-2016’, with a chance to meet the photographers.

BAFTA works with an evolving roster of talented photographers to help capture everything from their events and Awards to bespoke portraiture and studio shoots. They commission a diverse range of photography throughout the year, from backstage reportage at their Awards ceremonies, to bespoke portraiture for their print and exhibitions.

The Academy’s awards and events have always attracted the attention of press photographers but as BAFTA’s status grew and its activity levels rose, in 2006 it was decided to bring photography in-house under the direction of Janette Dalley. This exhibition shows a selection of Janette’s favourite images commissioned by BAFTA in her time as director.
