Barclays Cycle Hire
Find out about Barclays Cycle Hire including docking station locations
No bike? No problem.
Barclays Cycle Hire bikes and docking stations have become part of the London street scene since their introduction in 2010. There are now over 8,000 cycles available for public use around London, located at over 570 docking stations, with recent expansion meaning you’ve now got coverage from Shepherd’s Bush in the west to Victoria Park and Canary Wharf in the east.
It’s the easy way to try cycling for short trips in central and east London. You can just walk up to a docking station and hire a bike using your credit or debit card, or you can sign up online as a member and get your own cycle hire key. There is a small access fee to hire bikes (starting from £1 for 24 hours). In addition, you’ll pay a usage charge for how long you keep the bike - your first half hour of use is free, and up to an hour is just £1. So a journey of 35 minutes would cost as little as £2.
