Time Out says

Conservationist and guide Ralph Bousfield, who comes from a long line of African pioneers and adventurers, will speak about his experiences in Botswana and the history of safari and conservation there at this fundraising event. He will be joined by Joss Kent (CEO of &Beyond safaris) who will talk about the charity Rhinos Without Borders. Afterwards there will be drinks and canapés and an opportunity to chat to travel experts. The evening will also include an opportunity to view maps documenting the first European expeditions into the Kalahari, along with the Royal Geographical Society's collection of watercolours by Thomas Baines. As part of David Livingstone's Zambezi expedition, Baines was one of the first westerners to see Victoria Falls. He was subsequently kicked off the expedition when he and Livingstone fell out and Baines was accused of stealing. Bousfield's great grandfather was with Baines during the years he spent on the Makgadikgadi Pans and in his talk the conservationist will refer to the paintings which depict a landscape that remains remarkably unchanged since the 1860s. Inspired attendees will be able to bid for a luxury trip to Botswana, with all proceeds from the evening going towards Rhino conservation.
