Christmas Day Ride through the Streets of London

There is surely no better day than Christmas Day for a bike ride, and not just because you'll have some calories to work off. The city will be empty of buses, so this three-hour bike tour of central London will be a good sight less hair-raising than your average two-wheeled commute. Dozens of cyclists of all ages and fitness levels are expected to show up for the annual event, which finishes with a meal in one of Edgware Road's Lebanese restaurants. The route is detailed on the London Cycling Campaign website, but the main meeting points are Cutty Sark Gardens (10am) and Southwark Needle (11am).
