This interactive event hopes to introduce the public to the idea of online 'personal health records'. Currently, little more than 35 surgeries in the country opt to offer their patients easy access to their health records, and the London Health Improvement Board is looking to correct this through educational drop-ins such as this. Designed to engage visitors, the event kicks off with a Dr Demonstration stall where actors will play out a GP/patient scene in order to demonstrate various personal health record technologies. You can move on the My Measurement Corner, where portable monitoring devices (which measure heart rate, blood pressure and the like) will be available to use – the idea is to engage with your own health. Finally, you can try the digital health record programmes yourself, exploring the tools you would have direct access to – a drug management calendar for example, or a blood test results library.
