See our picks for the best of Dalston's nightlife - from jazz pubs to DJ nights and much more

If you want to have a normal night out, you probably shouldn't go to Dalston. If you want to watch films on a roof, however, go to Dalston Roof Park in the summer. To catch some of the city's best improv jazz, there's Vortex Dalston, and to discover a new, unsigned band, you'll want to check out The Nest.

I wanted to send you a quick note about Snake Pit's Night of the Resurrection on September 21st. I can provide more info and photos, and arrange interviews, if you’d like. Do you think Time Out Dalston may be interested in covering our night? There are some great stories about the infamous Snake Pit. Thanks very much! www.snakepit.xxx
