Time Out says

Built in the 1750s as two separate townhouses, this large Georgian townhouse became a single house in the 1880s and was the London home of the 6th Earl of Dartmouth until the First World War. In 1926 it became the headquarters of the English-Speaking Union, and nowadays also hosts private and corporate events.
