Celebrating Earth Hour in Canada

WWF's Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights between 8.30pm and 9.30pm GMT to raise awareness of climate change and the natural world. In London, famous landmarks are expected to take part, in previous years Big Ben, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace have taken part. 7,000 towns and cities around the world take part and the event has many celebrity supporters including Sienna Miller, Cilla Black Kirsty Gallacher and Daisy Lowe. Kevin McCloud, Alistair McGowan and Miranda Richardson have recorded a 60 minute audio book of much loved Just So stories by Rudyard Kipling to keep families entertained through the hour switch off.
