This selling exhibition of intricate printed images and maps is the perfect introduction to Henry Sotheran’s, an atmospheric 200-year-old antiquarian book shop in Piccadilly, that will feel like heaven to the sort of bibliophile who’s inclined to judge a book by the look and feel of its cover and loves nothing better than the smell of an old tome. As well as seventeenth-century botanical engravings and a hand-coloured survey map of Surrey by John Speed, this display includes a set of contemporary etchings by Henry Moore called ‘Animals in the Zoo’.
