Time Out says

On the Thames-side site at Woolwich where the Regiment of the Royal Artillery (the Gunners) was established in the early eighteenth century, three listed buildings, including Europe's oldest military academy – thought to be designed by Hawksmoor and the location where Wellington drew up his battle plans – house an attraction telling the story of the Gunners. Here they'll be running a summer of activities for under-16s that focus on a different topic each week. Try out the obstacle course, mine field and catapult range during Challenger Week (Aug 6-9); or while Roman Week (Aug 13-16) is on take part in Roman military-style drilling, learn the Roman army's 'tortoise formation' and decorate your own sword; meet real evacuees in Evacuee Week (Aug 20-23), try a bungee run and the firing range; then learn to read maps and break codes to defeat the Volunteer Team, who forbid children having fun in Resistance Week (Aug 27-30).
